Pool Rules

Pool Policies

  • No animals in pool facilities
  • No chewing gum
  • No glass containers
  • No drugs or alcoholic beverages
  • Restrooms are for pool patrons only
  • Smoking is only permitted 50 feet away from the front of the building
  • No smoking in the backyard area

Swimming Attire

  • Bathing Suits ONLY: NO T-shirts, cut-off shorts, or sweatpant shorts allowed

General Swimming Pool Rules

  • NO running in the pool facility
  • NO horseplay: This includes dunking, wrestling, and chicken fights (people on shoulders)
  • DO NOT hang on or swim over the lifelines-they are for DISTRESSED SWIMMERS
  • NO Extended breath-holding or prolonged underwater swimming
  • NO diving
  • If a whistle is heard, stop everything and look at the lifeguard for instructions
  • Three (3) loud blasts of a whistle signals swimmers to exit the pool immediately
  • Kickboards are NOT allowed for use during recreational swim
  • Flotation Devices: Only Coast Guard-approved life jackets and water wings are permitted
